I'm back :)

Well folks, after a lengthy pause from blogging I've returned. As some of you will note, I did it; by it of course I mean a move back to Brazil as I stated might happen in previous posts. I supposed it just seemed like the right time to come back, I've learned a lot in my time in Canada, now it's time I make some new experiences and grow.

I've situated myself in a small cozy little town located in the south of beautiful Brazil. It's quite interesting out here, the city is a resort town; this means that 90% of the year it's almost to the point of desertion. The other 10% it's a nonstop party, people from upstate come down for weekends, holidays, and just to downright have fun. It's quite a sight to see. But as to any resort town there is a major problem that accompanies it.

I'm talking about people from upstate that come here to party in our beach (see what it did there? :P). I have no problem with this in general; I've been known to be the greatest advocator for partying down. No this isn't my problem with them at all, what really irks me is once they are gone; our beach is left in shambles. The streets are dirtied up, the beach looks like the worlds garbage has somehow floated in from up north, and it’s a mess.

I really do wish that people would take their garbage with them. Enjoying nature is wonderful, beautiful beaches are great to go to, and to sun bathe, enjoy a bbq, or just have a wonderful luau; but what's even more wonderful is leaving a little nature left for everyone else, preserving that which is most sacred to us, for us, and for those that will come after us. I'm not saying that you have to go "green" all the way, just try and be more conscious of the surroundings around us.

So here is what I propose. A simple challenge, next time you are walking in a park and you see a plastic bottle or peice of paper on the ground, pick it up, toss it out, make sure people see you do it. Lead by example if enough people start to do this we can maintain our favorite spots clean as a whistle. After all this luscious green won't be around forever unless we maintain it so.

With greatest regards,

- Khael
